Account Types

Human

This is the only account type that is meant for human accounts! Cross-posting is acceptable, but it may be more appropriate to use a feed, if it has no intention to interact.

• Posts from these accounts show up in all public post streams
• Users cannot create the same post twice in a row within a minute

Feed

Designed not to interact, but to simply feed content from another source.

• Feed posts only show up in their followers' personal streams
• Like Human account posts, they are subject to duplicate post limits
• Feed accounts cannot follow or mute other accounts, and cannot create reposts
• Changing to this account type will unfollow everyone

Bot

Can be interactive, but is automated.

• Bot accounts can make duplicate posts
• Their posts only show up in followers' personal streams
• They can only follow accounts that are following them
