SourceKitService crashes/hangs/hogs cpu _much_ more often in Xcode 9 than in Xcode 8. This is a serious regression (at least with Apero's codebase). Also Xcode 9 recompiles the whole codebase too often instead of doing incremental compilation. Meh. #dev

The release notes don't mention any change regarding NSResponder. Maybe Xcode 9 is doing something different with nibs... I refactored the "view loop" anyway and recovered previous windows behavior + better handling of using TAB/ESC/... #silverlinings #dev

Too many NSNotification observers and too many messages sent too fast induces lags and slow downs, specifically when used in conjunction with UI. I'm finding myself replacing most of these with delegates and the performance gain is massive. #dev #cocoa

The new Xcode has interesting features - and fixes lots of bugs, apparently. I'm impatient to test it. I hope installing the beta next to the regular one will not mess things up...
