@jws It actually wasn't. That's the first thing I thought. But I guess grep thought the first J was a switch.
@remino
Actually, grep does work, but it won't work with `grep JPG` even if there are clearly 30 lines containing “JPG”. WTF?
@remino
`unzip -l` lists file, yet `unzip -l | grep` won’t work.
@remino
@randolph But hey, they pay. They even renewed my contract. So, it's good, I suppose?
@remino
@randolph Yup. And I never meet anyone there in person or on the chat, so that's kinda weird too.
@remino
@randolph Well, that inexperienced developer is actually one of the founders of the company. (Thanks, git blame, for telling me this.) And in this Japanese company, nobody will complain against that code.
@remino
@randolph Wow. How can a business run on that? Sounds like they're wasting tons of many... like my place.
@remino
@randolph I'm going nuts with this fucking site. It's Node but it reminds me so much of the all-custom-made non-DRY frameworkless PHP3 from the early 2000s.
@remino
Refactoring 1,500 lines of code from templates to pure JavaScript… Who knew it was going to be that painful?
@remino
@jws Like what? I use zag. The history and replacement (^foo^bar) stuff is there too.
@remino
Notable, I didn't know about !! and !$ until now.

Just when I thought there were no other shortcuts for me to learn in the terminal, this article from 2011 [lifehacker.com] made me feel like an idiot.

There’s actually a board converting 10 microSD cards into a single SATA drive [usb.brando.com].
@remino
Funny how some guy upgrading his own Mac to match a higher-end Mac [www.youtube.com] got the former perform even better than the latter.
@remino
Is there a way *not* to require to hit ⌘K Enter to keep a document open in VS Code? Because that’s pretty fucking annoying.
@remino
Got new Toshiba 128 GB microSD cards. Tested them. They passed flawlessly. Returned the fake cards to Amazon for a refund.

SoundCloud may not be around for much longer than 5 months [techcrunch.com]
If you have a podcast or a piece of music hosted on there, you better find an alternative fast.
@remino
Happy 1,500,000,000!
@remino
I can confirm the USB 2.0 micro SD reader cannot read cards of more than 64 GB, but I can also confirm the two 128 GB cards are definitely fake.
