Anyone knows which interface was used to connect keyboards to late 1980s-early 1990s Qume (and similar) terminals? RS-232? Thanks in advance.
@morrick usually those were proprietary. RS-232 only came out the back to connect it to its host.
@doctorlinguist Thanks. I'd love to repurpose one of those keyboard for my typing needs, but damn those interfaces and obscure connectors!
@morrick you'd probably have to tap the lines inside the keyboard itself and wire them up to a controller that implements your interface of choice. this is hardly impossible and people have done it but it's not trivial either.
