@33MHz Exactly! The absolute best! 😄
@ericd
Ah! The author of the library has fixed the bug and closed the issue with a "+1". I guess I actually won't have to make these buttons from scratch. :p /@33MHz
@ericd
@unixb0y I can't wait to get one for my coffee mug!
@ericd
When you code all night long there's always the risk to look at the result the day after and be like "wtf?!"... but this time I'm really happy with what came out of it.
@ericd
@33MHz Mmh, yes. Best kind because phew, I actually didn't break anything. Relieved. Worst kind, because now I have to do all the buttons again from scratch... lol.
@ericd
Oh lol. I've been chasing a bug for hours. I thought I broke something. Turns out a tiny library I'm using to make buttons creates an infinite loop when changing the button's title color in some cases. Bye bye, tiny library... Such a ridiculous bug! :/

@33MHz I'm quite happy with the result, visually, and the integration with macOS. Currently working on the details/polish. :)

The Dark Side…

@unixb0y I've been training Apple's AI for months by clicking the little heart not only on what I like but also on what I would want in suggestions. And it works. Now iTunes knows me rather well. ;)
@ericd
@jws Exactly. I even ran my Vapor test from Xcode. :) @thedan84
@ericd
@thedan84 No issue while developing, most of them are even compatible with Xcode and run on localhost. Then it's a Swift Package Manager app to deploy, so nothing to fear either. Depends on the target (Heroku, for example, but can be most servers actually)
@ericd
@thedan84 Sure! I have no specific expertise with these frameworks, I only used them once for testing. But as long as it's in the Swift world I can find my way anyway so yeah, of course, no problem. :)
@ericd
@unixb0y But I agree that besides this classification issue, their streams keep getting better and better. The suggestions they make for me have been impressively accurate recently.
@ericd
@unixb0y I have seen death metal classified as pop in Apple Music… Some people are in for a few surprises. ;)
@ericd
@thedan84 I have made an example with Vapor on my mac, just to learn how this works, and it runs well. That's how I know it works on Mac. ;) Probably this book has obsolete parts - as all books about Swift do, given how fast it (and its ecosystem) evolves.
@ericd
@thedan84 Yes, Swift would be only for the backend. But it works both on a Mac and on Linux now. These frameworks have made great progress lately. @unixb0y
